Bomag 650, 760 or 900mm Double Drum Roller

Bomag 650, 760 or 900mm Double Drum Roller

Hand-guided double vibratory rollers are designed for general use on earthworks, granular or asphalt construction. Depending on model and specification, these machines have operating weights of approx. 600 to 1000 kg and are available in working widths of 600 mm to 750 mm. The low lateral projection, the proven double vibration system, the easy handling and low centre of gravity makes these models suitable for new construction work and maintenance of footpaths, road shoulders, cycle paths, parking areas and garage driveways, playgrounds, commercial and forestry roads. These rollers feature large diameter drums with thick shells to provide maximum strength and durability. Travel and throttle levers are integrated into the adjustable steering handle to ensure easy handling. Their high compaction performance and compact design make these rollers ideal for a variety of light duty work.

Start the bomag in anti-clockwise direction by turning the crank handle quickly! and powering through the compression stroke. If you do not turn the crank handle over fast enough during the starting process the engine will "bounce" on the compression stroke and start in reverse. You will know this has happened because you direction lever will be in reverse. If you push to go forward the machine reverses. If this happens turn the machine off i mm ediately because the oiling system does not work in reverse. Simply retry the starting procedure, but this time you need to put more effort into cranking the engine. Bomag's do not operate submerged in water. This may damage the drum bearings. (see images for costs of repairs) pause the machine before changing direction form forward to reverse motion. Please note all water pipesare working correctly, damage to pipes (R57 00) this machine uses diesel fuel only. Do not let machine run out of diesel (call out charge to re-start R250. 00) never let the bomag run out of diesel as there will be a call out fee to start machine the price will vary depending on the distance. Check that tank is secure. Check water pipes for any missing fittings or damages. Check engineoil and gearbox oil regularly. Check engine oil every 2 hrs. Thickness of the layer to be compacted can be up to 200 mm. Always run engine at full speed when doing compaction work. Avoid machine hitting against structures or rocks etc. Stop machine before reversing or forward motion. Check if handle is returned. This machine uses diesel fuel only. Start the bomag in anti-clockwise direction by turning the crank handle quickly
