It is the customers responsibilty to adhereto all necessary safety requirements. Clothing, eye and ear protection etc. Check safety brake.the brake, the brake, the brake. Release the brake before starting the machine -if the break engages during use, the engine may die and the brake will need to be released before re-starting - pull back hard on the break handle to release - you won't break it just, pull the two handles together check if chain gets lubricated. For cutting living trees up to 600mm in diameter. Fill chain lube oil every 10 minutes. Tough clearing jobs always cost more money and that is why many client's opt to tackle these tasks themselves instead of paying thousands of rands to a professional.we understand our clients frustration at times when chainsaws get blunt, but it is what it is - they don't stay sharp unfortunately, and we just need to work together to get the job done.the challenge for us is to guide and explain to the client why it is not necessarily a simple task and why it always costs more than just a one day hire charge and to reset the clients expectation . Chainsaws always become blunt with use.it is just the nature of the machine. How soon ? depends on what you are cutting, we will re-sharpen the machine for you free of charge at our shop. The chain may stretch during use. This happens when the chain overheats because it does not have oil or because it is cutting dry wood or a very hard wood. The chain will also become blunt very quickly under these circumstances. When the chain becomes loose you need to re-adjust the tension before the chain de-rails and make sure that there is enough oil and that the wood is not too dry chainsaws are made for cutting wet wood, not old dried out tree stumps, for that you need a tree stump http://grinder.no/ sand or root cutting. No palm trees - the fibres clog and damage the sprocket cover plates inside.no dry wood - chainsaws are not made to cut dry wood, the chain will get blunt very quickly as the machine needs the moisture in the wood to keep the bar and chain cool. Never force a dull chain to cut, it increases the risk of injury and will damage the bar and chain.
