Instructions and operating tips (Wet cutting core bits)

For drilling into reinforced concrete only.
Always use water as water feed will ensure that diamond segment is not damaged.
Use proper anchor bits to anchor machine for stability.
Spacers are provided to effectively change the bits otherwise it will get stuck.

Do not force the operation.Forcing the drill and bit puts unnecessary stress on the diamond bit causing it to heat up and wear the diamonds out.
This bit can be used for dry core drilling.
NEVER use for drilling into reinforced concrete.

We stock a range of core bits for masonry brick work, porcelain tiles and granite to hire or to buy.
The Tungsten range however are only to be used on brickwork – and are used in conjunction with a SDS Max Drill.
Never drill with the hammer function on as it destroys the tungsten bits
Never force the operation.
Don’t hang on the bit as the leverage causes the bit to bend ,damaging the bit.

Always return all tools clean please. Use the correct drill to drive the bit, specialized drill can be hired from us. We charge per mm usage. Always check application of drilling . Can be used for drilling into brickwork and concrete. Drilling through re-nforced concrete is possible but the bit wears down very quickly. Do not drill through re-inforced concrete. Do not force bits as they cost R800.00 to repair bent or damaged teeth.(03/02/2015) re-inforced concrete breaks the bits off do not force operation as they are expensive too repair when teeth are damaged. Advise clients and get them tooacknowledge the correct use of the core bit always check application of drilling re-inforced concrete may cause the segments of the bit to break off and this will need to be replaced - the balance of the bit will then be charge to your invoice unfortunately. - If we deliver you must phone for collection please - we do not automatically collect.
- Machines are not insured, if not returned you will need to pay for the full replacement.
- Make sure you know how to use the tools. Ask if you need help, our friendly staff will assist. Also, make sure of safety requirements.
- Hires are charged for time out – not time used. Minimum 1 day (1 day = 24 hrs)
- Scaffold is charged weekly, all other tools daily.
- Tools must be returned Clean please. e.g., if you paint onto a ladder, we charge for cleaning.
- Negligent damages get charged separately.
- Consumables not used, may be returned for refund.
- Only use heavy-duty extension leads, not thin household leads.
- If you pay by cash we can refund in cash, if you pay by card we refund onto the card. (we can't refund onto debit cards) - Card refunds can take up to 10 days.
- Weekend hire starts after 2 pm Friday until 9 am Monday = 1day charge. ( Sundays are free) If you are late on Monday it is for 2 days.
- If you keep machines for a long time we can give you a better rate, discuss with your hire controller in store.
