Floor Grinder Electrical
Floor Grinder Electrical
- A concrete floor grinder uses discs that rotate horizontally to clean, smooth out or level a concrete floor – removing 1-2mm of surface concrete.
- Floor grinders are used to do the fine work – similar to using fine sandpaper on wood or painted surfaces. You get the smoothest surface on concrete by using a grinder.
- Concrete floor grinders are used to get rid of trowel marks, remove coatings or graffiti, smooth over rough spots, or add texture to a too-slippery surface.
- They come with a rubber guard that keeps the dust generated from grinding under control.
- There are different types of discs and different configurations.
- In residential applications, concrete floor grinders are often used to create a rustic texture on concrete or stone.
- If you only have a small area to cover, you can use a handheld model that will give you more control in tight spaces.
Can’t be used for glue or bitumen. Always return all tools clean please. Always check the levels of the head when grinding. Not to be used to try and lower an existing floor level by more than 2 mm. When you start up the machine, listen for unusual noises or vibrations. Application: to remove paint or thin layers of adhesive on concrete floors or slight imperfections to a finished floor. Rinse machine thoroughly with water directly after use and do not wet the electrical motor. Before starting the grinder, press the handle down enough to release the pressure from the grinding surface while leaving the disc on the slab surface. The reason for doing this is to help the motor reach its operating speed more safely. Concrete floor grinders have wheel settings: make sure the wheels are in the level position meant for grinding before you start. After the motor reaches its operational speed, gently set the grinder onto the slab and start grinding. Continue the process by moving the grinder in a side to side fashion to eliminate swirl marks. You should lightly dampen the floor with a fine spray. This will help control dust and wear on the disk. Don't use excess water, because you'll just have to mop it all up when you're done. Use the same side to side motion for wet grinding. Using a concrete floor grinder isn't exactly difficult, but it does take a little practice to gain proper control of it so you can do the job most efficiently. This probably won't take you long to get a feel for. Also make sure that the rotating plates don't come into contact with the power lead. Never use thin leads. Do not join more than one 5 mm x 20m three core lead on any single power tool. Extra charges raised if tool burns out because of incorrect use. Never allow an inexperienced person to operate this equipment. Floor grinder switch R800. 00. Floor grinder switch box R500. 00. Whentaking off glueand preparing floors for tiling a concrete scarifier must be usedfor this application. Using a floor grinder to do this will ultimately heat up the glue slow theengine downand cause engine failure due to heat.

• Make sure you know where power switches are and if your grinder is for use on wet concrete or dry concrete. Some grinders can do both.
• Before starting the grinder, press the handle down enough to release the pressure from the grinding surface while leaving the disc on the slab surface.
• Turn the switch on the starter to "Start."
• The reason for doing this is to help the motor reach its operating speed more safely.
• Concrete floor grinders have two-wheel settings: one is meant for transport and the other is meant for grinding.
• Make sure the wheels are in the rear position meant for grinding before you start.
• After the motor reaches its operational speed, gently set the grinder onto the slab and start grinding.
• Continue the process by moving the grinder in a side to side fashion to eliminate swirl marks.
• If your job is suitable for wet grinding, and you want to try this method, you should lightly dampen the floor with a fine spray. This will help control dust.
• Don't use excess water because you'll just have to mop it all up when you're done.
• Use the same side to side motion for wet grinding.
• NOT to be used to try and lower an existing floor level by more than 4mm.
• Using a concrete floor grinder isn't exactly difficult, but it does take a little practice to gain proper control of it so you can do the job efficiently.
• When you're done, you need to clean the grinder before putting it away or returning it.
• First, unplug the grinder.
• Next, use a hammer to knock off hardened bits of debris stuck to it. Use concrete dissolvers if a hammer doesn't do the job. Rinse the machine before putting it away or returning it.
• It cannot be overemphasized, however, that you need to wear the proper safety equipment when using a floor grinder. Application: To remove paint or thin layers of adhesive on concrete floors or slight imperfections to a finished floor.
